Note: Immediate family indicates full name with “Finlayson”as one of 2 middle names – this name does not appear in documents located to date (December 2005). It is mentioned in one census and in Minnie. Jarrell’s Bible. Bill had blue eyes, was 5 ft. 10, and balding. Lost a leg in WW1 after being wounded Aug 27, 1918. He also had weakened lungs from gassing in the war. Worked in Post Office for 34 years, working in the Investigation Branch. Bill was easy-going, didn’t like conflict. He was known for ” Never do the Dirty Thing” and “Your word is your bond”.
