Family Search: When Verschoyle Philip Cronyn was born on 20 September 1895, in London, Ontario, Canada, his father, Hume Blake Cronyn Sr, was 31 and his mother, Frances Amelia Labatt, was 27. He married Dorothy Vivian Bruce on 3 May 1919, in Toronto, York, Ontario, Canada. They were the parents of at least 1 son. He immigrated to New York City, New York, United States in 1929 and lived in Ontario, Canada in 1895 and London, Ontario, Canada West, British Colonial America for about 10 years. He registered for military service in 1915. He died on 5 March 1978, in London, Ontario, Canada, at the age of 82, and was buried in Woodland Cemetery, London, Ontario, Canada.
Brother to Hume Blake Croyn, the Canadian actor. Related to Labbat Beer family.
Served with the 18th Battalion from 28 November to 31 December 1914 before being resigning his commission to join the Royal Flying Corps.
