He registered for military service in 1914. In 1914, at the age of 19, his occupation is listed as electrician. He died on 25 November 1977, in West Palm Beach, Palm Beach, Florida, United States, at the age of 82, and was buried in Juno Beach, Palm Beach, Florida, United States.

Friends with Private Victor Dawe, 54241 and one of only two Newfoundlanders to enlist with the original draft of the 18th Battalion.

Emigrated to Cleveland, Ohio post-war. May have lived there before the war.
