He died on 23 April 1973, in Ohsweken, Six Nations (Part) 40, Six Nations, Ontario, Canada, at the age of 83, and was buried in Chippawa Hill Saugeen Reserve Cemetery, Chippawa Hill, Saugeen 29, Bruce, Ontario, Canada.
