Family Search: When Private Louis Joseph Geraldi was born on 7 January 1884, in Gananoque, Leeds and Grenville, Ontario, Canada, his father, Oliver Geraldie, was 23 and his mother, Margaret Gallipeau, was 26. He married Elizabeth Jane White on 20 June 1908, in Merrickville, Merrickville-Wolford, Leeds and Grenville, Ontario, Canada. He immigrated to Vermont, United States in 1911 and lived in Lanark, Ontario, Canada in 1901. He registered for military service in 1915. In 1915, at the age of 31, his occupation is listed as wool manufacturer in Merritton, Lincoln, Ontario, Canada. He died on 15 September 1916, in Courcelette, Somme, Picardie, France, at the age of 32, and was buried in Pozieres British Cemetery, Pozières, Somme, Picardie, France.

This man was married (Lillian White) wool manufacturer enlisted with the 81st Battalion at the age of 30. He enlisted on August 31, 1915, at St. Catherines, Ontario.

His unit sailed on April 28, 1916, and he arrived in England on May 6, 1916, and was transferred to the 18th Battalion on June 28, 1916, leaving for the front on June 29, 1916. He arrived at the front on June 12, 1916. He served with the Battalion.

He was killed in action during the attack on Courcelette.
