Family Search: Private Stanley Somerfeldt was born on 19 August 1889, in Warsaw, Masovia, Poland as the son of Andrew Somerfeldt and Mary Bartraslovich. He married Rose Alice Gardner on 28 September 1922, in Toronto, York, Ontario, Canada. They were the parents of at least 1 daughter. He immigrated to Detroit, Wayne, Michigan, United States in 1927 and lived in Windsor, Essex, Ontario, Canada in 1921. He registered for military service in 1914. In 1914, at the age of 25, his occupation is listed as bookbinder. He died on 12 July 1959, in London, Ontario, Canada, at the age of 69, and was buried in St. Peter’s Cemetery, London, Ontario, Canada.
