Family Search: When Private Albert David Bloomfield was born on 18 January 1899, in Harrington, Oxford, Ontario, Canada, his father, Jesse Bloomfield, was 38 and his mother, Caroline Amelia Dellow, was 23. He lived in Ontario, Canada in 1899 and Kingston, Frontenac, Ontario, Canada in 1911. He registered for military service in 1916. In 1916, at the age of 17, his occupation is listed as labourer. He died on 12 September 1918, in Wimille, Pas-de-Calais, Nord-Pas-de-Calais, France, at the age of 19, and was buried in Wimille, Pas-de-Calais, Nord-Pas-de-Calais, France.

This soldier joined the 149th Overseas Battalion at Thedford, Ontario on December 21, 1915. He arrived in Liverpool on April 7, 1917, and was transferred to the 4th Reserve Battalion on February 15, 1918, at Bramshott. On February 22, 1918, he proceeded overseas having been transferred to the 18th Battalion and arrived in the field on the 27th. 5-months, to the day, he was wounded and proceeded from the 4th CFA to a CCS. He was then transferred to No. 13 General Hospital, Boulogne September 8, 1918, and at 10:00 AM September 12, 1918, he died of his wounds.
