He married Louisa Sisley Sharp on 9 June 1919, in Tooting, London, England, United Kingdom. They were the parents of at least 4 sons and 3 daughters. He immigrated to Quebec City, Quebec, Canada in 1920. He registered for military service in 1915. He died on 18 November 1975, in Owen Sound, Grey, Ontario, Canada, at the age of 77, and was buried in Hillcrest Cemetery, Tara, Bruce, Ontario, Canada.
