LANCE CORP. W.W. HELPS was killed in action on the 13th of March, 1917. He is the son of Mrs. Helps, Shuter St., Wingham. Eddie enlisted with the 161st Battalion and had seen some hard fighting. On March 26th, 1917, he paid the supreme sacrifice. Before enlisting he was employed as an electrician with the Municipal Electric Power Department.
