CLARK, ANDREW, Private, No. 412204, 18th (Western Ontario) Battn. Canadian Expeditionary Force, 2nd s. of Andrew Clark, Learny, Torphins, co. Aberdeen, by his wife, Elspet Skene. dau. o Charles Jaffray; b. Dyce, co. Aberdeen, 9 March, 1892; educ. Torphin’s Public School; was employed as a Forester, and later went to Canada: Enlisted in the Dominion Forces in Jan. 1915; returned to England with the 3rd Canadian Contingent the following June; underwent training at Shornecliffe; served with the Expeditionary Force in France and Flanders; was wounded in June 1916, and invalided home; on his recovery in Nove. rejoined his regiment in France and was killed in action at Vimy Ridge, 9 April, 1917. Buried in the British Military Cemetery, Neuville St. Vaaste; unm.
