Pte. J. Prisley Reported Killed

“Don’t tell me my brother has been killed,” sobbed Mrs. Alexander of 148 Castlefield avenue, when informed that her brother, Private James Prisley, had been reported killed in action. The usual wire from Ottawa informing relatives of casualties had not been received by Mrs. Alexander, and the news came to her as a great shock. Two other brothers are in France. Pte. William Prisley of the 1st Railway Battalion and Pte. Ben. Prisley of an Australian Battalion, also two brothers-in-law, Pte. H. Samuel of the 124th and Pte I. Overington of the 1st Railway Battalion. The late Pte. Prisley was well known in North Toronto.
