He married Isabel Ezibala Sale on 24 June 1922, in York, Ontario, Canada. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 1 daughter. He registered for military service in 1914. In 1914, at the age of 27, his occupation is listed as machinist. He died on 9 February 1951, in his hometown, at the age of 63, and was buried in Avondale Cemetery, Stratford, Perth, Ontario, Canada
