Family Search: When Private Norman Winfred Boutilier was born on 16 November 1897, in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, his father, Judson Obediah Boutilier, was 29 and his mother, Isabella Mary Hurshman, was 19. He registered for military service in 1915. In 1915, at the age of 18, his occupation is listed as lumber. He died on 10 May 1916, in Sint-Eloois-Vijve, Waregem, West Flanders, Belgium, at the age of 18, and was buried in Voormezele, Ieper, West Flanders, Belgium.
