Parsons, James Douglas — Lieutenant. Born 2nd August,
1894, at Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Father, J. A. Parsons
(retired). Educated at St. Andrew’s College. Entered the service
of the Bank, 15th February, 1915. Enlisted, 8th January, 1916,
from Gait branch, in 111th Canadian Battalion, with the rank of
Lieutenant. Transferred to 18th Canadian Battalion, May, 1917;
Royal Air Force, June, 1918. On active service with 18th Battalion
from May, 1917, to June, 1918. Subsequently training in the Royal
Air Force. Injured in an aeroplane crash, August, 1918. Demobilized,
14th October, 1919.
