Military Medal for Bravery in the Field during his service as a stretcher bearer. Bruce Remembers indicate this was for actions on August 8, 1918.  Ref. The London Gazette. 7 February 1919.Supplement: 31173. Page: 2130.

His brother, Pte. Robert William Dobson, served with the 18th Battalion.

This soldier lost his leg during action at Arras on August 26, 1918 and this passage relates what happened:
