He died on 14 February 1963, in St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada, at the age of 79, and was buried in Luton Cemetery, Malahide Township, Elgin, Ontario, Canada.

ELGIN TREASURER”S SON IS REPORTED WOUNDED


[Special to The Advertiser.]

ST. THOMAS, March 12. – John McCausland, former Elgin county treasurer, of Metcalfe street, received a telegram from the adjutant-general at Ottawa today, stating that his son, Pte. John McCausland, of the 18th Battalion, had been wounded in the fighting in France, and was at No. 2 Hospital. Boulogne. Pte. McCausland has two brothers with the Canadians at the front.
