He married Beatrice Henson in 1924, in Birmingham, Warwickshire, England, United Kingdom. They were the parents of at least 1 daughter. He immigrated to Canada in 1904 and lived in Toronto, Ontario, Canada for about 3 years and Rocky Mountain House, Alberta, Canada in 1944. He registered for military service in 1914. He died on 23 February 1944, in Strachan, Clearwater County, Alberta, Canada, at the age of 47, and was buried in Pine Grove Cemetery, Rocky Mountain House, Clearwater 175, Alberta, Canada.
