In 1941, at the age of 46, his occupation is listed as barber in Alameda, Moose Creek No. 33, Saskatchewan, Canada. He died on 2 June 1945, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, at the age of 50, and was buried in Mountain View Cemetery, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
