He registered for military service in 1914. In 1914, at the age of 36, his occupation is listed as labourer in Goderich, Huron, Ontario, Canada. He died on 16 December 1942, in Windsor, Essex, Ontario, Canada, at the age of 64, and was buried in Saint John’s Anglican Church Cemetery, Windsor, Essex, Ontario, Canada.
