Corporal Holmes Wounded
Mr. and Mrs. Dudley Holmes received official notice on Monday that their son, Corporal John E. Holmes, had been admitted to No. 4 Hospital, France, suffering from a gunshot wound in the right shoulder. Corporal Holmes went to France in February where he was attached to the 18th Battalion. In April he was wounded in the face and was in hospital in France fourteen weeks, returning to his battalion in July wheae [sic] he has been through all the heavy fighting up til now.
