About Alfred H Burton
A.H. Burton was born in Calcutta, India to English missionary parents stationed there.
I believe he was a map maker for the army.
Farmed in Royal Oak, MI. Was a Royal Oak police officer.
Planted and tended the flowers at the elephant fountain at the Detroit Zoo.
Note: Service records confirm that his address was Republic Avenue, Ten Mile Road, Ridge Road, Royal Oak, Michigan, U.S.A. on card dated March 23, 1922.
Alfred Harrington Burton is my grandfather.
I would love to have a copy of his Service Record from England! He also served in U.S.A. and achieved the rank of Col. He worked at Aeronautical Chart and Imagery Center (A.C.I.C.) in U.S.A.
