He was attached to the 18th Battalion. He was killed in action in December [September] 1916. His widow and her child live with her mother, Mrs. Alfred Drew, at 43 Chalmers Street, Galt, Ontario.
“Previously reported missing, believed killed, now Killed in Action” While in the 2nd German Line near the SUNKEN ROAD at COURCELETTE, he was hit in the head and shoulder by shrapnel and instantly killed.
