This photo was likely taken in Camp Niagara. Although most of the soldiers have not been identified, seated in the front (left) is Sgt. Joseph Lucas Tuppen. Sgt. Tuppen was later transferred to the 18th Battalion and died of wounds at the 12th General Hospital at Rouen, France, on April 14, 1918. SERGT. J.L. TUPPEN KILLED.

Mrs. Tuppen, of 64 Gledhill avenue, was notified on Thursday that her husband, Sergt. J.L. Tuppen, had died of wounds at 12th General Hospital, Rouen, France, Aprl. 14. He enlisted Mar. 16th, 1915, went overseas July, 1916, and to France in September, and took part in many battles.
