This man joined the 33rd Battalion at Windsor, Ontario on January 11, 1915. He was then transferred to the 18th Battalion. Training in London, Ontario, he was then transported for training at West Sandling, Kent. He then transferred with the 18th Battalion to the Continent for active duty.

He was wounded twice during his service.

He earned the Military Medal and a Bar to his Military Medal. The Military Medal was for “bravery in the field” during the actions of this soldier at the Somme in the Fall of 1916.
