He died on 18 February 1987, in Burleigh Falls, Selwyn, Peterborough, Ontario, Canada, at the age of 89, and was buried in Curve Lake Cemetery, Curve Lake, Curve Lake First Nation 35, Peterborough, Ontario, Canada.
