“When James Anderson McEwan was born on 22 December 1891, in Sandwich, Essex, Ontario, Canada, his father, James Porter McEwan, was 42 and his mother, Amanda Marquerite Rogers, was 39. He lived in Essex, Ontario, Canada for about 10 years and Windsor, Sandwich, Essex, Ontario, Canada in 1921. He registered for military service in 1914. In 1914, at the age of 23, his occupation is listed as electrician. He died on 13 December 1977, in Detroit, Wayne, Michigan, United States, at the age of 85.”
