Family Search: When Wilfred Meredith Reany was born on 17 November 1892, in Saugeen, Bruce, Ontario, Canada, his father, John Wesley Reany, was 27 and his mother, Eliza Jane Cobean, was 23. He married Gertha Macphail on 3 July 1919, in Palmerston, Minto, Wellington, Ontario, Canada. They were the parents of at least 1 daughter. He lived in Port Elgin, Saugeen Shores, Bruce, Ontario, Canada in 1920 and Southampton, Saugeen Shores, Bruce, Ontario, Canada in 1921. He registered for military service in 1914. In 1914, at the age of 22, his occupation is listed as fireman. He died in 1991, in Grey, Ontario, Canada, at the age of 99, and was buried in Priceville Pioneer Cemetery, Priceville, West Grey, Grey, Ontario, Canada.

This soldier transferred to the 4th Canadian Infantry Brigade Machine Gun Company. December 26, 1915.
