This man joined the Canadian Expeditionary Force under the MSA on 13 April 1918, at Ottawa, Ontario.
He embarked for England on 10 July 1918, arriving in England on 22 July 1918. He was then assigned to the 4th Canadian Reserve Battalion on that day at Witley Camp.
He proceeded overseas for active combat duty with the 18th Battalion on 28 October 1918. He arrived and No. 1 Canadian Infantry Base Depot on the next day and was dispatched to the Canadian Corps Reinforcement Camp on 1 November 1918. He left that Camp on the 6th and arrived at the 18th Battalion on the 9th.
He served with the 18th Battalion until his discharge.
He was discharged at London, Ontario on 24 May 1919.
BEDARD, Valmore—On Monday, Dec. 15, 1969, in hospital, Valmore Bedard, aged 81 years, beloved husband of Florence Morisette, dear brother of Hector, Edmond, Mrs. Louis Leblanc (Corinne) and Mrs. Joseph Daoust (Maudie). Resting at Racine, Robert and Gauthier, 260 Besserer Street. Funeral mass at St. Anne’s Church, Wednesday at 8 a.m. Interment Notre Dame cemetery, Ottawa.

Survived by two brothers, Hector and Edmond, and two sisters, Corinne (Mrs. Louis Leblanc) and Maudie (Mrs. Joseph Daoust). Funeral to be held on December 17, 1969 in Ste. Anne’s Church, Ottawa, with burial in Notre Dame Cemetery, Ottawa.
