This is the MASTER list of all the 18th Battalion soldiers that were, a. Killed in Action, b. Died of Wounds, c. Died of Accident, d. Died of Illness. I have compiled this data from. 1. The Canadian Virtual War Memorial site in conjunction of the Canadian Great War Site; 2. The Commonwealth War Graves Commission Site; 3. Independent research by self; 4. The Honour Roll in “Duty Nobly Done” compiled painstakingly by Edward H. Wigney; 5. Other Sources such as the members here.
It is not 100% accurate and does include men that served with the 18th Battalion and then were transferred to another unit where they became a casualty.
It should not include any soldiers whose deaths where attributed to their war service but died after the official CWGC date for commemoration of being related to The Great War. The 18th Battalion has the distinction of having the last soldier to be recorded amongst the millions of Imperial Troops who died due to their wounds with Sgt. Nassau Briggs.
