Enlisted 18th Battalion London 5-2-15 (age 19 years 8 months), lists 3 years service in 30th Wellington. 5 foot 6 inches. Blue eyes, blond hair. Presbyterian. Embarked with 18th Battalion Halifax, SS Grampion, 18-4-15. Went with 18th Battalion to France 18-9-15. GSW 1-4-17 bullet shattered right knee requiring amputation mid thigh. Returned aboard SS Missinabe 28-10-17, Quebec City, Quebec. Medical Board Quebec P.Q. recommends discharge, medically unfit. Discharged Toronto 14-1-18, Physically Unfit. Died 1947, buried Huxley Cemetery.
