Family Search: Leslie Norman Todman was born on 20 February 1893, in Farnham, Surrey, England, United Kingdom as the son of Henry Joseph Todman and Mary Townsend. He immigrated to Canada in 1913 and lived in Aylmer, Elgin, Ontario, Canada in 1920 and Windsor, Essex, Ontario, Canada in 1921. He registered for military service in 1914. In 1914, at the age of 21, his occupation is listed as farmer. He died in 1979, in Hampshire, England, United Kingdom, at the age of 86.
His brother, Nelson Victor Todman, was killed January 30, 1915, when his ship, the SS Oriole, was allegedly torpedoed.
