Family Search: When Private Walter Ede Perry was born on 23 March 1883, in Penzance, Cornwall, England, United Kingdom, his father, Nicholas Dungey Perry, was 33 and his mother, Emma Louisa Ede, was 35. He married Lucy Manning Francis on 21 May 1910, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. They were the parents of at least 2 daughters. He immigrated to Canada in 1909 and lived in Mimico, York, Ontario, Canada in 1922. He registered for military service in 1915. In 1915, at the age of 32, his occupation is listed as printer in Toronto, York, Ontario, Canada. He died on 12 October 1950, in Toronto, York, Ontario, Canada, at the age of 67, and was buried in Park Lawn Cemetery, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Note that there is a Private Pearce with reg. no. 157658. They probably joined together and were friends. Sometimes concurrent regimental numbers indicated such a relationship.
