In 1914, at the age of 47, his occupation is listed as farmer. He died on 26 August 1921, in London, Ontario, Canada, at the age of 53, and was buried in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, West McGillivray, Middlesex, Ontario, Canada.
Note that the CVWM page incorrectly lists his service battalion as the 14th. His service records reflect his service with the 18th Battalion.
