Find-A-Grave

Per Email:

William Ireland returned to Canada on the Caronia in August 1919 at Halifax. He was headed to Windsor, Ontario.

Just found out what happened to the first wife (and the second wife). He married Norah Hutchinson in September Q 1917 at Chertsey (Surrey). Not sure if she came to Canada but I just found this newspaper article about the bigamous second marriage to Gladys Howarth, which was annulled. (She was only 16!)

He returned to England in 1927 on the Minnedosa and I found another marriage for him to Mabel Milton in March Q 1938. He is living with her in the 1939 Register at Newton Abbot, Devon. He’s a proprietor of a boarding house with blind pensioners.
