Pte. J. Frizzell, killed in action on Oct. 3rd, leaves a widow and four small children living at 91 Rainsford road. in his last letters home he expressed every confidence of returning, but stated that he would fight on and “do his bit.” He was at the time in rest billets, but was expecting to return to the heavy fighting at any moment. Frizzell had been four months in the trenches with a draft of the 81st Battalion. Prior to enlisting he was employed in the gents’ furnishing department of the T. Eaton Co. He was born in Ireland, but had been eight years in this country.
