31829_B016689-00054 — “Died of Wounds” On the night of May 10th, 1916, he was badly wounded in the chest and left leg by shrapnel. He was evacuated to No. 10 Casualty Clearing Station, where he succumbed to his wounds at 9.20 o’clock the following morning.
