Frank was born April 5, 1891 in Berlin, Ontario. Before enlisting on October 16, 1914 he was a member of the the Berlin Regiment. He served in the 18th Battalion, 4th Field Co. Canadian Expeditionary Force, the 123rd Battalion, and the 9th Canadian Engineers. His father, listed as his next of kin, was Lewis McBrine of 87 Ahrens Street, Berlin, Ontario. His occupation was clerk.
Frank went overseas on April 15, 1915 and to the front on September 15, 1915.
He was promoted to Lieutenant on January 20, 1917. He received a gunshot wound to his right leg on December 11, 1915. Frank returned on March 29, 1919.
He died on April 15, 197 and is buried in Mount Hope Cemetery, Kitchener, Ontario.
