He lived in Uniontown, Fayette, Pennsylvania, United States in 1930 and Erieau, Kent, Ontario, Canada in 1931. He registered for military service in 1916. In 1931, at the age of 32, his occupation is listed as a carpenter in Erieau, Kent, Ontario, Canada. Double Vet Dies at 58

BLENHEIM—Funeral services were held Monday for Burton Hawley, 58, of Blenheim, who died in Westminster Hospital, London, Friday. He had been in ill health two years. Mr. Hawley was born in Harwich Township and lived in this area all his life.

Mr. Hawley served in both world wars with the Canadian Army. He was employed as a fisherman and lived at Erieau until he moved to Blenheim 10 years ago. He was an adherent of the Baptist Church.

Surviving are his widow, the former Maude Shreve; three daughters, Wanda, Doris Ann and Robin, all at home; three brothers, Gordon of Vancouver, James of Ohio, and Ross of Kitchener; three sisters, Mrs. Roy Renolds (Gertrude), of Erieau, Mrs. Jack Craig (Gladys), of Windsor, and Mrs. Dave Hyde, (Edna), of Lions Head.
