A Lieutenant of the 18th Battalion, Canadian Expeditionary Force A subaltern of the 18th Infantry Battalion of The C.E.F.. This man served with one of Canada’s most famous battalions. The 18th’s battle honours include Mount Sorrel, Somme ’16 ’18, Arras ’17 ’18, Vimy ’17, Hill 70, Ypres ’17, Passchendaele, Amiens, Hindenburg Line, Cambrai ’18, Pursuit to Mons and others. This handsome studio portrait was taken by Swaine, 106 New Bond St. W. and Southsea.
