He lived in Port Elgin, Saugeen Shores, Bruce, Ontario, Canada in 1916. He registered for military service in 1916. In 1916, at the age of 24, his occupation is listed as harness maker. He died on 20 November 1972, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, at the age of 80, and was buried in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada.
