Jahnke, Van Nuys, Cal. Dear grandfather of Mary Katherine, James Robert, Thomas Ian and Amy Therese. Mr. Handyside was a member of the original 18th Battalion, Dominion President of the 18th Battalion Association, charter member of the Veteran’s Graves Committee, President of the War Pensioner’s Association, member of Branch 12, Royal Canadian Legion and Men’s Cribbage League of Branch 12. Funeral service in the chapel of the Walter D. Kelly Funeral Home, 1969 Wyandotte St. E., Tuesday, July 12, 1977 at 11 a.m. Canon Paul F. Chidwick officiating. Interment in Victoria Memorial Cemetery. A Legion service will be held Monday evening at 7:30 p.m., auspices of Branch 12 Royal Canadian Legion and members of the 18th Battalion.
