He married Lavinia Charlotte Hiley on 29 April 1904, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. They were the parents of at least 2 daughters. He immigrated to Canada in 190 and lived in Ireland in 1877. He registered for military service in 1915. In 1915, at the age of 38, his occupation is listed as fireman in Orangeville, Dufferin, Ontario, Canada. He died on 8 October 1947, in Toronto, York, Ontario, Canada, at the age of 70, and was buried in Park Lawn Cemetery, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
