Family Search: When Private Roy Esthie Trudell was born on 17 August 1894, in Thamesville, Kent, Ontario, Canada, his father, Joseph Trudell, was 22 and his mother, Mary Dulong, was 19. He immigrated to Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada in 1919 and lived in Dover, Kent, Ontario, Canada in 1931 and Windsor, Sandwich, Essex, Ontario, Canada in 1934. He registered for military service in 1915. In 1931, at the age of 37, his occupation is listed as janitor. He died on 20 February 1934, in Sandwich, Essex, Ontario, Canada, at the age of 39, and was buried in Saint Alphonsus Cemetery, Windsor, Essex, Ontario, Canada
ROY E. TRUDELL
ROY EDWARD TRUDELL died last night at the home of his sister, Mrs. J. Clair Willis, 254 Partington Avenue, after a four-month illness. He was 39 years old.
Born in Thamesville, Mr. Trudell had lived in Windsor for the past 15 years. When employed he was a lineman with the Windsor Hydro. He was a World War veteran serving with the 18th Battalion from 1915 to 1919. He is also survived by a brother, Harland J. Trudell of El Paso, Texas.
Military funeral services will be held Friday morning at 9 o’clock in Chapman’s Limited funeral home, 523 Victoria Avenue. Interment will be in Soldiers’ Plot, St. Alphonsus Cemetery. Prayers will be held in Chapman’s tonight and Thursday at 8 o’clock.
