The Goss Family

As often happens in research one soldier’s research leads to another. During the research into Private Percy Lemmon one of the news articles shared with me shows another soldier who served in the 18th Battalion, George Goss.

George Goss had two other family members who served in the C.E.F.. His father served in the 18th Battalion for part of his service and his brother served with the 186th and then the 1st Battalion. All served overseas.

The Gathering of Heroes web site has some basic biographical information about these soldiers and is a good resource for research about any soldiers that served from the Chatham-Kent, Ontario area. There are separate soldiers pages for L. G. Goss Sr., L.G. Goss Jr., and W.H. Goss at the links. 6999beab-36ba-45cb-a370-f5aef4ed0087a
