Private Skelly Joins the C.E.F. 100 Years Ago

Private Skelly is commemorated on Page 326 of the First World War Book of Remembrance.

Private Lawrence Russell Skelly, reg. no. 803015 joined the 135th Overseas Battalion in London, Ontario 100 years ago today. He was an 18 year old, 5′ 7.5″ lad with dark brown hair. Eventually he would transfer overseas and into the 18th Battalion where he would die in combat just over 1 year after his enlistment.

He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Vimy Memorial.
