Family Search: When Private Wilfred Fox was born on 11 September 1884, in Prestwich, Greater Manchester, England, United Kingdom, his father, Issac Arthur Fox, was 30 and his mother, Elizabeth Jane Barnsley, was 31. He married Bartha Lambert on 29 July 1909, in York, Ontario, Canada. They were the parents of at least 1 son. He lived in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada in 1901. He registered for military service in 1915. In 1915, at the age of 31, his occupation is listed as carpenter. He died on 5 April 1922, in Hamilton, Wentworth, Ontario, Canada, at the age of 37, and was buried in Hamilton Cemetery, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.
Note that this soldier’s wound to his hand was self-inflicted.
