Family Search: When Private Robert Andrew Given was born on 8 November 1892, in Blenheim Township, Oxford, Ontario, Canada, his father, John Owen Given, was 37 and his mother, Sophronia Edith Stockton, was 31. He lived in Brant, Ontario, Canada in 1901 and Richwood, Oxford, Ontario, Canada in 1916. He registered for military service in 1916. In 1916, at the age of 24, his occupation is listed as student. He died on 9 August 1918, in Lens, Pas-de-Calais, Hauts-de-France, France, at the age of 25, and was buried in Sains-en-Gohelle, Pas-de-Calais, Hauts-de-France, France.
