This man was initially with the 18th Battalion when it was formed in Fall 1914 but was discharged due to misconduct. He re-enlisted and married a woman with the first name of Sadie. Later service records shows he changed his assigned pay to his sister, a Mrs. M. Scrimshaw, living at 20 Fairholme Road, London, England.
