Family Search: Private John Lee was born on 8 April 1894, in London, England, United Kingdom as the son of Robert Lee and A. Lee. He immigrated to Canada in 1913 and lived in Galt, Waterloo, Ontario, Canada in 1914. He registered for military service in 1914. In 1914, at the age of 20, his occupation is listed as labourer. He died on 15 September 1916, in Courcelette, Somme, Hauts-de-France, France, at the age of 22.
