Family Search: When Private Peter McCullie was born on 19 February 1894, in Twatt, Mainland, Shetland, Scotland, United Kingdom, his father, James MacCullie Sr., was 37 and his mother, Margaret MacLeod, was 32. He immigrated to Canada in 1914. He registered for military service in 1915. In 1915, at the age of 21, his occupation is listed as cook. He died on 16 August 1916, in Ieper, West Flanders, Belgium, at the age of 22.
